SAVE was established 15 years ago in 1994 by 3 doctors from India settled in the UK. We work in collaboration with well known and respected NGOs in India and in the last five years the activities of SAVE have increased considerably. Currently we are funding 18 projects in 9 states of India (Assam, Bihar, Orissa, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Delhi and West Bengal). We have also helped to establish SAVE-INDIA in the beginning of 2009 with its registered office in Kolkata, West Bengal, India , as a NGO completely independent of SAVE-UK with its own separate constitution and independent governing body but with the same Goals, Aims and Objectives as that of SAVE-UK.
