Jorge Sequeira
I have worked for United Nations over 30 years, in a variety of countries in 3 regions (Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America & Caribbean) in development, especially education and humanitarian assistance programmes. At the senior Directorship level, I have also worked in leadership programmes, strategic planning, organizational reform and impact evaluations.
I was an active member of the regional UN Development Groups and other international groups, notably for the design of the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda and the SDGs. I co-chaired until mid-2017 the NY-based UN Interagency Working Group on ‘Prevention of Violent Extremism’ (PVE).
I work presently as a development and evaluation consultant, based in Edinburgh, with interest in evaluation frameworks for the assessment of outcomes of development programmes and humanitarian interventions.
