United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund on Contemporary Forms of Slavery

Type of project: Reparation, empowerment and integration of victims of contemporary forms of slavery through the provision of direct assistance. Assistance may include medical, psychological, social, legal, humanitarian, educational assistance, vocational or skills training or other support to their independent livelihood.

Type of project: Those which sustainably improve lives among the sick, the elderly, the disabled and the disadvantaged, particularly in the UK. Overseas projects are also supported provided that the applicant charity is registered in the UK.

United Nations Voluntary Fund for Victims of Torture (UNVFVT)

Type of project: direct assistance to victims of torture and their family members. Such assistance could include medical, psychological, legal or social assistance. The fund will also accept a small number of applications aimed at strengthening the internal capacity of the applicant organisation.

Type of project: Community-led interventions that address either: sexual violence; harmful practices such as female genital mutilation (FGM); early and forced marriage; sexual and reproductive health and rights for underserved and vulnerable girls.

The Positive Action for Children Fund (PACF) - Technical Assistance

Type of project: Alongside its grant programme, the PACF’s Technical Assistance programme provides capacity-building support to selected PACF-funded community-based organisations identified as requiring additional technical support to implement their funded project. Technical Assistance aims to strengthen community-based organisation capacity by improving their HIV knowledge, internal processes and individual skills.
