Role and Responsibilities 

Mary’s Meals is a fast-growing international charity, currently providing more than one million hungry and impoverished children in 15 countries with a nutritious meal every school day.

As Policy and Impact Officer, you will be responsible for leading on data analysis to support the implementation of Mary’s Meals Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Strategy. You’ll be joining a newly created and growing directorate and will also support the coordination of research to promote and support an organisational culture of learning and an enhanced understanding of the impact of Mary’s Meals’ work, collating research findings and delivering training to build the capacity of global MEL staff.

 

Person Specification 

Essential Skills
•    At least 2 years post-graduating work experience.
•    Experience of analysing data and producing written briefings and summaries.
•    Numerate, with experience of data recording, collation and analysis. 
•    Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
•    Able to adapt and respond to changing demands in a fast-paced environment 
•    Experience of coordinating research projects. 
•    Able to organise own work and prioritise tasks. 
•    Experience of working/volunteering in a developing country context. 
•    Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in different countries and settings.
•    Experience of working with databases and digital tools for data analysis.

 

Desirable Skills
•    Experience of communicating impact. 
•    Strong organisation and research skills
•    Experience of working in a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning capacity. 
•    Experience of delivering training and developing training materials.
•    Experience of building staff capacity
