Head of Policy and Impact - Mary's Meals

Location: Glasgow and Overseas

Mary’s Meals is a global movement of people from all walks of life, united by our belief that no child in this world of plenty should endure a day without a meal. Theirs is not a movement that divides rich from poor, or giver from receiver. Every contribution is equally valued, from cash donations that buy the food, to the time and energy given to cook and serve the meals. Nearly every part of their work depends on unpaid volunteers and it is through them that our movement grows. Together, their are helping transform the lives of hundreds of thousands of impoverished children.

Role and Responsabilities

As the Head of Policy and Impact, you will play a lead role in shaping how Mary’s Meals deliver their school feeding programmes.  You’ll be joining a newly created and growing directorate and will be responsible for leading on the development, implementation and management of research projects and the implementation of Mary’s Meals Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) strategy across the organisation.

Salary: £41,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience).

Person Specification

They’re looking for a strong research background preferable with experience in the voluntary sector.  The role will be based at the Mary’s Meals International HQ in Glasgow, and may require overseas travel to their programme countries, you will be required to work closely with team members in all of these locations and with colleagues working in other parts of the organisation, to deliver strategy, change and organisational growth.  

It is a challenging, exciting and fulfilling role which will give you the opportunity to make a tangible difference to the effectiveness of their work and to the lives of children in some of the world’s poorest communities.
