About the Organisation:

Link Community Development is a grassroots charity working to transform education across some of the poorest rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa. We focus on improving teaching and learning as well as building up life skills and inclusion for the most marginalised.

Job Purpose:

To lead the fundraising strategy and creatively develop and deliver fundraising activity to achieve Link's income targets, and secure core and programme funds crucial for their work to support the most vulnerable children.

Link is a dynamic and ambitious international charity, headquartered in beautiful Edinburgh, which is helping more children than ever in impoverished, rural Africa to access quality education and the tools they need to get the very best start in life.

They are looking for a driven fundraising professional to join their team as a Development Manager.

The successful candidate will have experience in identifying and cultivating new prospects, managing complex fundraising projects and nurturing strong relationships with donors. Whilst there is a major focus on Trusts and Foundations, there is also flexibility to explore other sources such as corporate, community and individual giving. There are exciting opportunities to manage relationships with major US foundation donors as well as travel to Africa and North America.
