Salary:  £19,588 to £22,000 p.a.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week.

Contract type: Temporary - 6 months.

Job Description:

Send a Cow is a dynamic international development charity providing training and support to smallholder farmers in Africa. We work with families and communities to help them gain the hope and the means to secure their own futures from the land, in line with our vision of a confident and thriving rural Africa.

The role

Our Development Team sits at the heart of our mission. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Development Administration Assistant to support the team to enhance their effectiveness in delivering fundraising and marketing activities in line with the annual plan. This is a varied role that will involve supporting different fundraising teams with tasks such as assisting with website updates, preparing social media content, helping teams respond to volunteers and supporters via email and telephone, keeping databases updated and helping with event preparation.

Person specification

  • Engaging writing and proof-reading skills
  • Experience of using a supporter database 
  • Passionate about charity marketing and supporter engagement
  • Ability to work calmly, efficiently and to tight deadlines with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload.
  •  Flexible and willing to help 
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours on occasion, e.g. for events
