Salary: Up to £34,500, depending on experience

About the Role

To perform this role, you’ll need a rather special set of qualities. Chief among them will be your practical experience of developing and delivering campaigns encompassing public and political influencing, and of developing and working in partnerships with others to drive change. You will be a skilled influencer and have significant and proven experience in using communications to achieve change. You’ll have strong knowledge and understanding of the political context in Scotland, and across the UK, and a proven ability to influence political change. Your creative approach to problem-solving, and flexibility when it comes to planning and decisionmaking, will enable you to make the most of every new opportunity with an energy and enthusiasm that creates significant space for others to follow. You’ll need to combine that fresh-thinking with the confidence and credibility to represent Oxfam to a variety of audiences – internal and external – whilst prioritising effectively and reflecting available resources. You’ll do all this whilst operating at a senior level in our team and delivering to the highest of standards.

Job purpose
To lead the design, delivery and monitoring of Oxfam’s campaigns and communications output in Scotland while overseeing supporter engagement and supporting high quality advocacy. Deputise for the Head of Oxfam Scotland as required, working closely with other staff. Line manage a small team, whilst ensuring alignment and coherence with Oxfam’s UK and global work.
