Joining Scotland’s International Development Alliance makes you part of a strong and vibrant Scottish movement of people who care about creating a fairer world.

Membership is open to anyone with a professional or personal interest in international development. This includes voluntary and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), companies, professional partnerships, academic institutions, public sector bodies, social enterprises, individuals and students. All that we ask is that you adhere to our core values and that you are based, or work, in Scotland.

Membership criteria

Membership of Scotland’s International Development Alliance is open to anyone with a professional or personal interest in international development. This includes voluntary organisations and NGOs, private companies, social enterprises, public sector bodies, professional partnerships, academic institutions, individuals, students and young people with an interest in international development in Scotland. Members must be based, or professionally active, in Scotland.

All members must endorse Scotland’s International Development Alliance’s values statement.

How to apply

  1. Prospective members fill out the online application form
  2. Applications are reviewed by our staff and board
  3. Applicants are welcomed into membership and invoiced for the annual membership fee
  4. Once payment is received, you can start accessing the benefits of membership immediately. Your profile, as submitted in your application, will appear on our member directory.

Membership fees are based on each organisation’s annual UK income, and are set each year at our AGM. Membership is for 12 months, renewable on a yearly basis.
