What can I expect by attending?

By signing up, you’ll have the chance to network, learn and share practice with 200 delegates from across Scotland’s vibrant international development community. The day will consist of inspiring keynote speeches from international speakers; interactive breakout sessions allowing you to delve deeper into a particular topic or area of relevance; and lots of audience participation and engagement.

How do I book a place?

To secure your place, visit the Eventbrite page by clicking here. The event is open to Alliance members and non-members alike, with a subsidised rate of £20 in place for our members.

Why is there a charge in place for this event, when all other Alliance events are free?

Our annual conference is the only Alliance event where we implement a small charge for members to attend. This is because our outgoing costs for the event are so high. We want to make sure the conference takes place in a venue that has capacity to welcome our large network of members, offers scope for plenary and multiple breakout sessions, in a city centre location with excellent public transport links. Unfortunately, this comes at a price. The £20 fee (of which a small percentage goes to Eventbrite) is a subsidised rate, which helps go some way towards covering the costs of running such a large and complex event.

What’s included in the ticket?

The ticket includes access to the conference, your delegate pack (a canvas bag including a copy ofthe programme, Alliance pen and other promotional items), food and refreshments throughout the day, and access to our post-conference drinks reception – where networking can continue in a relaxed setting over drinks and nibbles.

Is there an option to be invoiced?

If you would like to be invoiced (as opposed to signing up via Eventbrite and paying by credit/debit card), please let us know and we will happily issue you with an invoice instead.

Do you give discounts for block bookings?

Yes. If you would like to book four or more places at the event for you and your colleagues, discounts can be applied. Get in touch with Catherine to enquire.

I’m struggling with costs. Is there any support available?

Although we have tried to keep the ticket price as low as possible for our members, we appreciate thatthere will be additional costs involved in getting to and from the event. Our Members’ Training Bursary Fund is available to help out, where required. Click on the link for details.
