University of Strathclyde Speed-Dating Research Networking

University of Strathclyde Speed-Dating Research Networking

11th October 2019, 10:00 to 13:00

Bringing non-academic organisations and Strathclyde researchers together for future collaborations

About this Event

In recognition of the mutual benefit of closer collaboration and sharing of expertise between academics and 3rd sector organisations in identifying aims, methods and pathways to impact for international development interventions, University of Strathclyde is warmly inviting you to a speed-dating event involving our researchers and non-academic organisations.

Specifically looking towards DAC listed countries, this will be supported by an internally allocated small grant scheme, where potential collaborations can be explored further through global engagement funding.

The networking will allow academics and 3rd sector organisations to make new connections which may lead to future GCRF and/or SFC Small Grants funding.

The event will be relaxed, allowing introductions and one-on-one discussions between all parties attending.

Strathclyde is a research-intensive university responding to global challenges. They are making major contributions towards improving health, transforming energy, setting new standards in manufacturing, and shaping future cities. In the recent Research Excellence Framework, a government-led benchmarking exercise measuring the quality of research in higher education institutions, we were identified as one of the top 20 research-intensive universities in the UK.
