Towards Global Citizenship: Taking forward system-wide global health engagement

15th September 2017, 08:30 to 17:00

Global Citizenship is the title of the Scottish Government's new International Development Strategy. This conference will explore the questions of how this should be best displayed in the Scottish health service.

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow has been supported by the Scottish Global Health Collaborative in undertaking a major report which will explore the benefits and challenges of international volunteering by NHS staff. This report is due to be launched in May 2017.

Lord Nigel Crisp, co-chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global Health, is our key note speaker and we are delighted to welcome a range of international experts. 6 CPD points have been applied for and the conference will broaden your understanding of international health partnerships.

There will be a poster competition at this conference, submission details can be found under the resources tab.

Closing date: 11 August 2017. Submissions should be submitted to alanna.campbell@rcpsg.ac.uk.
