Scottish Government Malawi Development Programme Information Day

Scottish Government Malawi Development Programme Information Day

29th November 2017, 09:45 to 13:45

The Malawi Development Programme fits within the development assistance programme, the first and largest element in the Scottish Government’s £10m International Development Fund, one means by which it implements its International Development Strategy.

This call, which comes on the twelfth anniversary of the signing of the co-operation agreement between the Governments of Scotland and Malawi, is worth a total of £2,500,000 per annum and incorporates some new features.

Grants can now be made up to a maximum of £300,000 per annum and extend for a period of up to 4.5 years.

The lower annual turnover limit and the turnover ratio that applied to the recent Rwanda/Zambia round have been removed.

The Scottish Government have also made it clear that although weighting will be given to projects which are delivered over the full 4.5 years and to the maximum budget, a proposal that is for a lower grant will not be at a disadvantage provided there is collaboration/complementarity with another proposal.

Assessment of proposals will also consider how projects align with the Scottish Government’s International Development Strategy and the Global Goals.

Application for this funding takes place in two parts – Concept Note and Full Application. Please visit Corra Foundation to view guidance and templates for both parts.
