Oikocredit drop in session

Oikocredit drop in session

15th March 2018, 12:00 to 14:00

Oikocredit is a unique international co-operative and leading worldwide social impact investor with a 42-year track record. They remain guided by the principle of empowering people in low-income countries. And they believe that the most effective and sustainable means of assisting those in need is by providing them with an opportunity to create their own paths out of poverty through the instrument of investment. A hand up, not a hand out. Its development financing portfolio (loans and equity) grew to 1,047 million euros in 2016 up 16% on 2015, placed in over 800 social enterprise partners in 69 countries.

Oikocredit will hold a drop-in session Thursday the 15th of March between 12 midday until 2 pm. The event will be held in the Library, first floor, Quaker Meeting House at 7 Victoria Terrace Edinburgh (off Royal Mile, 5 minutes’ walk from Waverley Station). Tea/coffee biscuits will be served.

This event is for those individuals or organisations that would like to find out more about Oikocredit and investing ethically in an informal setting.

No need to reserve a place. However, if you did want to confirm your intention to drop in then that would be helpful from the catering point of view.
