DFID Meeting: Civil Society Effectiveness
Tuesday, 23rd January 2018
Please note this is a Members Only Event. Due to limited places, we can only accomodate one representative per organisation.
Diarmuid O’Neill, Senior Policy Advisor, Civil Society, and Morna Welsh, Deputy Programme & Policy Manager, Civil Societies Team, both from the Inclusive Societies Dept, DFID, will lead a meeting with representatives from Scottish civil society organisations, on 23rd January 2018, 1100-1330 at SCVO, Edward House in Glasgow.
The format will be an informal round-table discussion about civil society effectiveness. The event gives Diarmuid, who has only recently been appointed, an opportunity to hear from Scottish CSOs, while giving our members the opportunity to hear from Diarmuid and Morna with an update on DFID’s policies on working with civil society.
Because of the roundtable discussion format, numbers of participants will necessarily be low. If the event is over-subscribed, priority will be given to people who attended one or more the of three information sessions we held on DFID’s new UK Aid Connect programme early this year. If the results of the first round of applications to UK Aid Connect are in the public domain by 23 January, this topic can be added to our agenda.
