The Effectiveness Toolkit

Organisational effectiveness is essential to ensure the sustainability of the critical work carried out by Scottish NGOs to ensure a fairer world, free from poverty, injustice and environmental threats.

The Effectiveness Toolkit (originally produced by NIDOS in 2014) has been significantly updated, drawing on the experience of key stakeholders of using the Toolkit.

This has resulted in a shorter, sharper, focused Toolkit, to help organisations assess priority areas for action and plan for continuous improvement, with useful tips, resources and guidance in five core areas

  •  Purpose
  • Governance • Impact
  • Sustainability
  • Development

These are underpinned by a clear set of principles and supported with self-assessment templates, action planning guides and links to other helpful resources and websites.
