Alliance Policy Committee quarterly meeting
Wednesday, 12th May 2021
Join us at this meeting to hear about what the new political landscape looks like following the 2021 Scottish Election, and to discuss our shared priorities going forward!
What is the Alliance Policy Committee?
The Alliance Policy Committee is a sub-group of our board. Membership of the committee is made up of a combination of individuals from our Board of Trustees and representatives from our wider membership.
The Committee meets to share policy and advocacy priorities, find ways to collaborate and steer the Alliance's policy work. The Committe also sets proactive policy priorities for the Alliance, approve policy positions and support staff to deal reactively with emerging issues. The group meets quarterly, and previous minutes and notes are avaliable on our website.
Why come along to this meeting?
If you work in policy, have specific expertise in a policy area, or simply a vague interest in international development policy in Scotland, then the work and discussions of this committee are for you.
At this meeting, we will look at a number of things including:
- Upcoming opportunities to engage with newly elected members of the Scottish Parliament and the Scottish Government following the election, including the re-establishment of a Cross Party Group on International Development
- Other upcoming ways to collaborate and coordinate our policy and advocacy work on particular issues, inquiries and government publications.
