A Brighter, Fairer Future: 2020 AGM & All Members Meeting

Event Date

Wednesday, 2nd December 2020

11:30 am

Members of Scotland’s International Development Alliance are invited to join us online (via Zoom) on Wednesday 2nd December for our 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and All Members Meeting.

The event will start at 11:30am with our AGM, which is for organisational members only. This will be followed by an afternoon meeting for all our members – both organisational and individual – as well as our members’ principal partners.

The afternoon proceedings will consist of discussions and presentations that will focus on how our sector can up its game to help build the brighter, fairer future we all want to see.

Our keynote speaker, Jonathan Glennie, will present ideas from his soon-to-be-published new book ‘The Future of Aid’, which argues for a paradigm shift away from the concept of ‘foreign aid’ towards the empowering concept of Global Public Investment.

Jonathan is a writer, researcher, consultant and practitioner on international poverty and human rights with a wealth of experience looking at the changing nature of development cooperation. Click here to find out more and view his biography.

There will be the opportunity to put your questions to Jonathan, as well as the chance to hear from other expert panellists on what more our sector can do to empower the people and communities where we work.

So book your place today and join us for this special AGM and All Members Meeting as we imagine a brighter, fairer future.
