COP 26 planning meeting - Activities, Inputs and resources
Monday, 17th February 2020
The UK is set to host COP26 climate change negotiations in November 2020 in Glasgow. SCCS and other civil society groups are planning how best to organise around this significant political moment.
The Alliance has committed to working together with these organisations as part of a broader coalition of civil society that aims to raise awareness in Scotland that climate change has the largest impact on those that have done least to cause it.
So far, we've heard from over 50 members that the Alliance has a unique role to play in amplifying the voices of people and communities who are on the front line of the climate crises in different countries.
You can see the notes and action points from our second meeting here where we focused on a broad position statement and what the Alliance can hope to influence in terms of outcomes before and after COP26.
Join us for our third meeting in Edinburgh or online to discuss what resources and inputs are needed to help share the stories, highlight the challenges faced and celebrate new and existing responses to rapidly changing climates across the world.

The meeting will be live streamed on Zoom, so if you can't make it in person, you can still join the conversation from wherever you are. Contact Lewis for online joining instructions.
Please note this meeting is for both individual and organisational members of the Alliance.
