The Funding Working Group will meet in Edinburgh on Friday 17 of January in Edinburgh to discuss core funding. The Funding Working Group provides a space for international development practitioners to share their experiences of fundraising through a variety of means and explore some solutions to working in today’s challenging funding environment   

Time: 10:30-12:00 Friday 17 January (networking lunch 12:00-13:00)

Location: TBC, central Edinburgh   

Who is it for: The Funding Working Group provides a space for international development practitioners to share their experiences of fundraising through a variety of means and explore some solutions to working in today’s challenging funding environment. The working group is open to organisational and individual members of the Alliance.    

The meeting will include:  

  • A presentation by Alliance member People’s Postcode Lottery about their strategy and ethos as a funder of international development work

  • A stakeholder mapping exercise to scope donors who provide core funding to Scotland based international development organisations  

  • Collaboratively setting the agenda for the upcoming annual programme of meetings
