Fundraisers are increasingly being asked to demonstrate an array of digital skills, from data analysis to understanding cryptocurrency. There is an ever-growing list of ways to use the internet to channel donations to your charity, from utilising Amazon Smile to adding a Facebook birthday to your charity’s page. These growing opportunities can seem daunting if you are a small charity with limited time and staff capacity. However, there are ways that small NGOs can make the most of digital fundraising.
November and December are the peak months for donations to charity in the UK, making the festive period an opportunity to focus your fundraising efforts with maximum return on your time. The Big Give will share its experience of running the Christmas Challenge, a week in which participating charity donations are doubled. Since the launch of the Christmas Challenge ten years ago, the campaign has raised over £103 million.
The webinar will give a short overview of the digital fundraising landscape, present the Christmas Challenge as a case study and speak about how match funding can work for smaller organisations who don’t have established fundraising or finance teams.
The Big Give’s 2019 campaign will run between Tuesday 3rd and 10th of December. To be eligible for the Big Give’s match funding, charities must have an income of over £25,000 and one year of filed accounts.
