Scotland’s International Development Alliance AGM

All members of Scotland’s International Development Alliance are invited to join us for this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). This is a great opportunity to connect with other members from around Scotland. We are delighted to be joined by Ben Macpherson MSP and Rae McGrath as our guest speakers for this event.
Ben Macpherson MSP is the Minister for Europe, Migration and International Development. He is a qualified solicitor and has worked previously in a variety of roles, in the private, public and third sectors. He worked as a commercial lawyer before becoming an MSP, and prior to that in renewable energy, financial services and for an international charity.
Rae McGrath is a specialist in conflict and emergency response. He is the founder of the Mines Advisory Group and co-founder of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL). He represented the campaign when it was awarded the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize, delivering the Nobel Lecture. He has worked for Mercy Corps and Save the Children in humanitarian and development roles around the world including in Afghanistan, Sudan, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Somalia, Libya, Iraq and Syria.
The Alliance will also be launching ‘Safer For All’, our new package of safeguarding support.

Please note that only one representative of each member organisation may vote at the AGM. Other representatives are welcome to come and observe and take part in the networking.
