Income Generation: How do we do it better? – Online training
Wednesday, 23rd May 2018
In the third and final part of this new online series on organisational sustainability, we look at one of the biggest challenges for our sector – finding and generating income.
As funding becomes increasingly restricted and donors become unwilling to pay for core costs, how do you ensure your organisation survives and thrives? Do you find yourself developing projects in order to secure funding? Are you under pressure to work in new communities and countries? Do you have a robust funding strategy in place?
This interactive online series is facilitated by Wren and Greyhound and is based on their sustainability toolkit ‘A Lasting Difference’ that explores the four core capabilities of sustainability: Involvement, Income Generation, Innovation and Improvement, and Impact Measurement.
Over the series, we will look at three topics tailored to the international development sector; Sustainability, Partnerships and Income Generation. Three key factors for any organisation.
By the end of this session:
- You will explore the common pitfalls of income generation.
- Think about your income generation strategy (if you have one) and whether it is still fit for purpose? Or whether you need to develop one?
Please note this training series in only open to current members of Scotland's International Development Alliance.
